Today, I’m excited to announce the launch of the Ehrman Blog Newsletter – and want to be sure that you’re getting it!

The first email went out on Saturday, so if you didn’t receive it, please read the following:

What is the Ehrman Blog Newsletter?

A regular, new email I’ll be sending – at least weekly – which will include:

  • A recap of the week’s new articles on the Blog
  • Announcements
  • Notice about all my public lectures, debates, and interviews
  • and more!

Who is it for?

The newsletter is for anyone interested in keeping up to date with me and the Blog, whether you’re a member or non-member.

Note to Blog Members:

You should already be on my email list and should have received an email from me on Saturday.  If you’re a Blog Member and didn’t receive it, I’ll tell you what to do below.

Note to Non-Members:

If you’re not a member but are interested in keeping up to date with all the important goings on at the Ehrman Blog, please click here to join.  It’s free!

Why It’s Important

In the past, I’ve always made announcements here on the blog.

Of course, this means some of you may have missed important Blog announcements over the years, especially those of you who don’t visit daily.  The newsletter is a way to keep everyone informed about the Blog regardless of how often they visit.

I think it’s also a nice benefit to see all the articles that went live for the week.  We’re all busy, I realize, so sometimes you might go a week or so without visiting.  The newsletter will provide you with an easy way to see what piques your interest and go straight to it!

WHAT IF I DIDN’T RECEIVE THE EMAIL?

Members – You should have received it.

Perhaps you can try searching for it??

It went out on Saturday, 3/13, and the subject line was:  The First Ehrman Blog Weekly Recap (And an Announcement)

If you didn’t get it, it probably went into your junk or spam folder.  Or if you use Gmail, you might find it in your “promotions folder.”

HOW DO I GET IT OUT OF THERE?

If my email went into your junk/spam folder, you can still probably read it by going to that folder.

The problem?

Chances are if my first email went to your junk folder, all of them will!  To fix that, please drag my email into your personal inbox like this:

Outlook:

Gmail:

HOW DO I MAKE SURE IT DOESN’T HAPPEN AGAIN?

Once you drag my email into your personal email box, please make sure you “whitelist” my email address [email protected] (or add it to “safe senders”) so you are sure to receive all emails I send you.

That typically means you “right click” the email and it to your “safe senders” list or click an option not to block the sender.

In Outlook, right click the email, go down to “Junk”, then select “Never block sender.”

If you use Gmail, when you drag the email from promotions into your inbox, a little black box should pop up asking if you always want to move that email into your inbox.  Make sure to click yes!

“I STILL CAN’T FIND YOUR EMAIL”

If you didn’t receive my email – and can’t find it in your junk – it’s possible that I don’t have you on my email list and you need to sign up.  You can sign up for our Members-Only Email Newsletter by clicking here.

If you still need help, please visit our support page.

Thanks!
