Cool stuff.  We’ve come a long way from the view in Genesis of God forming creation out of the formless void, primordial chaos, which at least seems external to him.  If anyone is interested in the idea of Lurianic “Empty Space” חלל הפנוי you might want to check out the Buddhist philosopher ** you do not have permission to see this link ** (śūnyatā).  This is not an attempt at a facile comparison.  Really, Kabbalah and madhyamaka (the middle way) as conceptual systems might as well be on different planets.  No, all I’m saying is that if you find the first idea interesting you may find the second interesting as well.
