I saw a French docu series about “Jesus and Islam” the other day.*

I was astonished what an important role Jesus (Isa) and even his Mother Mary (Mariam) have according to the Quran

(there was a virgin birth , Jesus body switch on the cross, etc,)

I am not an expert,  but it seems to me that several non-orthodox  “Jesus Clubs” of the middle east had some influence on the creators of Islam.

I would like to know more about the christian predecessors of Islam.    What would be the best sources about that topic?

Is there a even “comercial” book out there?
