Was there a period of silence in Christianity after 70 AD?

Hello All,

After 70 AD, we hear nothing from the Apostles or their followers regarding Jesus’ failed prophecies. What happened? Did they succumb to their utter defeat and let others hi-jack their failed message of hope and redemption for another time, place and people? For example, Revelation was written around 90 AD to make up for the failed 70 AD debacle. Instead of the gospel story ending as a failed message to its first century audience, its hi-jacking keeps it alive through spiritualization into perpetuity.

What are your thoughts?

You heard from the Apostles 67-70?
You heard from the Apostles after the date of Paul’s last authentic letter, 57 CE?

If Jesus foresaw the the destruction of the Temple, where is the failed prophecy?

To make up for the failed 70 AD debacle? What failed? The city was supposed to be surrounded by armies.
That happened. It was supposed to be a time of tribulation and apocalypse. That happened.

The gospel story ended as a failed message when the Son of God and the Son of Man was rejected and killed.

Once the Son of God/Son of Man declares the Parable of the Wicked Tenants, the campaign was over. Once the Holy Land is taken from the Jews, all the bells and whistles are forfeited.

Well assuming Jesus actually made some such prediction it would have been in the context of the imminent appearance of the kingdom and god’s judgment, not through the Romans stomping it flat with both feet to quell a rebellion. Jesus failed because the kingdom did not appear.

The son of God/Son of Man holds a last supper where he offers his body and blood which kills his god (God turns his face away and excommunicates this Christ), Christ is killed and from this dysfunction and self-destruction you are still looking for gifts from that dynasty?

It was then a time of the Gentiles — until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled
