A French student of mine wanted to recommend Jesus: Apocalyptic Prophet of the New Millennium to her family, but could not find a French translation of the book, or any other book by Ehrman. Has his work never been translated into French? If so, I find that surprising. Any idea why that might be the case? Thanks! (Hope this is an appropriate topic to introduce here–this is my first posting.)

I don’t have an answer to your question, but if you post this question as a comment to one of his blog posts he’ll probably answer.  It doesn’t matter if it’s an off topic question or not.  Perhaps his books aren’t particularly well received in France.
