I just spent some time on Wikipedia reading up on the “Monism” entry. I didn’t realize the extent of the discussion in philosophy. It’s pretty informative in you don’t already have some background.

Thanks, Jill. I don’t know all that much about Monism, so I’ll have a look.

A more modern philosopher who tends to the impersonal is Spinoza.

I’ve always had a great admiration for the man Spinoza and have read a biography or two, but I haven’t really read much of his writing since my days as a philosophy minor some forty years back. As I recall, his writings were just a little more comprehensible than Alfred North Whitehead’s. I think I’m better off reading secondary sources to start. In searching, I found ** you do not have permission to see this link ** which seems to have potential.

Eventually though you’ll have to make the Journey to the East.

And with pleasure. I did get that book you mentioned on Eastern Philosophy but haven’t begun.

God and Other Ultimates

Very nice. I’ll use it as a launching pad to dive into different traditions whenever my fancy happens to be tickled.

Genesis
Genesis 7:16

God(Elohim) are the Beings that had created (Genesis 1-3).

LORD(YHWH) is a Being of the Elohim that has manifested here in the sky and land.

Spirit is also a Being of the Elohim.

When LORD and Spirit are not manifested within the sky and land those Beings are then written as God.

Whenever GOD is written in the KJV that implies that the Elohim are not located at that moment in time and space within the sky and land. Whenever LORD or Spirit or any other word of is written in the KJV implies that one Being or more Beings of the Elohim are currently manifested there within the sky and land.

God is not a Metaphor in the book of Genesis or OT.

God is the existence of the Elohim outside of the sky and land (heaven and earth). The location of the Elohim is written as the plural of sky: The Heavens.

The various so called names and adjectives for the Elohim are the ancient concepts of the Lative, Locative, and Ablative cases of grammar.
