A number of NT passages say what they say because they are literary expressions of a significant theme in NT theology–the reversal of the wickedness that has permeated the human race … What happened in Genesis 6: 1-4 had to be reversed as part of restoring the original Edenic vision.
That reversal was, is, and will be accomplished by the messiah, Jesus of Nazareth.

As for Babel, one needs the messiah reaching out to the Gentiles because the nations have to be brought back into the family of God.
The primary sin of the Watchers/Sons of God was marriage with humans which produced giants.
Out of these giants come evil spirits that lead humanity astray (1 Enoch 15: 11-12 and further elaborated in Jubilees).
The Watchers and the Giants are repentant but God will not forgive them. (See Revelation chapter 9, when the Watchers are released.)

This transgression of categories brings terrible results: after their physical death, the Giants’ demonic spirits “come forth from their bodies” to plague humankind.]
Asael taught men to make swords of iron, weapons, shields, and breastplates–every instrument of war.
These Sons of God taught their wives, their children, and humans cosmetics, how to look at the sky, for example, astrology; they taught mysteries.
The watchers taught skills and technology that enhanced the sins of humans–sins of lust and war.
Humans began to perish and a cry went up to heaven.

When you only read the Bible, the canonical books, you lack context.

Mesopotamian Context
Something that the Mesopotamians thought was great, the Israelites thought was wicked/evil.
Writers of Genesis: what preceded the flood was not great, not good, it was evil.
In Mesopotamia, the Apkallu are the culture heroes (civilizers) before the flood.
The Watchers who helped humans with technology were the Thomas Edisons of their day.
The Mesopotamians thought this was great, the Israelites thought this was not good, it was evil.
Babylon is so great because of the divine knowledge of civilizing.
The Mesopotamians had the same flood story.
Gilgamesh was a post-flood Apkallu. Gilgamesh is mentioned by name in Qumran’s Book of the Giants.
The literate Jews were reading Mesopotamian texts.
It was part of their cognitive frame of reference.
The scholar Anne Kilmer sees a relationship between the nephilim of Gen 6:1-4 and the apkallu.

The apparent mating with humans displeased Marduk. In the Erra Epic, he judges the apkallu.
The garden with trees and precious stones in the second dream is comparable to the garden in the end of the hero’s journey in the Gilgamesh epic with the trees bearing jewels and precious stones.
Well, Ezekiel picks up this visual in chapter 28 [Eden].
We don’t want humans knowing what we know. Humans were created to be slaves of the gods.
Every point of Genesis 6: 1-4 and the Enoch version aligns with the Mesopotanian material.

Typhon is a Titan. See Daniel 11 which tracks Typhon the Titan. The figure of Daniel 11 was Antiochus IV/Epiphanes, the Typhon figure in Greek literature.
Lake of Fire is for the Devil and the Watchers, the Rephaim.
