I have no issue with presuppositions – we all have them – as long as we make our agenda explicit. But what is the apologetic agenda? And it is an apologetic at work here. Licona and Bauckham should at least be honest and admit their goal is not dispassionate historical analysis. How could it be? Their prior faith commitment delimits the framework of their entire approach.
