Hi everyone,

I’m new here and enjoying the site quite a bit. I stumbled upon an interesting hypothesis that claims that the Flavians actually used Christianity as tool to help pacify the Jews. It seems like an interesting idea, but I’m rather skeptical. Does anyone have a sense for how reasonable this idea is?

Sounds ridiculous. The majority of Jews rejected Christianity. A failed “messiah” who died in the most ignominious way possible was not a cause to rally around.

Wasn’t this the Joe Atwill conspiracy theory that even Acharya S tried to distance herself from?
