Wes also says that we have “complete manuscripts dating back as far as the middle 2nd century”, referring to P52 and others. Wes uses intentionally misleading language like this to inspire false confidence in his Christian audience, and to avoid engaging with the real scholarship, which demonstrates that we have 0 complete manuscripts of any NT text until Sinaiticus in the mid 4th century. Very irresponsible of a scholar to say such a thing, Christian or not.
Kameron Wauters and I are debating Wes Huff and Jonathan McLatchie on January 20th. I may bring this up in our debate.

You did not highlight the same manuscript Wes highlights.
You messed up within the first minute .
Wes highlights 3rd centuary manuscripts that have the shorter ending .
There is a gap between the ending of the shorter ending and then continuation of writing ..
Lets see how you back peddle from this blunder

Just ten seconds in the video….. LOL!!!!! You guys are VERY VERY dishonest. The subject with Billy and Wes was about the crucifixion of Jesus. Not the copy difference. You are conflating two things. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Guys, guys, you’re obviously wrong. The reason that Codex Alexandrinus has a LONGER space after the long ending is because we KNOW that the scribes knew there was more to the story. Get ready for the REALLY long ending of Mark. 🤣🤣🤣

Wes is miss information. He says half truths and people don’t notice. He did this with Billy and he appeared right. But did Billy really get any of it wrong. Not really.

I really like how professional, and relentless the two of you argue and think. Your reasoning is only matched by Brandon from mindshift. He (like you)is also way too logical for these common arguments, lies and biases used by intellectually dishonest believers in order to impress their credulous followers. I love your work! (at times a bit too emotional but still quite within). Although the resurrection is the heart of Christianity its important that you attack. THX! Andy❤🎉
By the way. I once read from H. Kueng (very famous and intellectually honest theologian) that when the Constantinian Donation was discovered as a forgery in the Renaissance in the 15th century, the Church never even bothered to say “sorry”. Can you Imagine? The most important forgery ever and the Church who wrote that crap in 800 just moves on without any further explanations. So please dont be bothered if these people here arent able to admit anything. It’s not in their pattern of thinking, nor in their genes to have made any mistakes or to even admit how bad they are. You have to unmask them constantly😊😮More of this pls!
The Trope of a Missing Body
(Heracles, Oaieia, Romulus, Persephone)
Chat GPT 4.0 said:
Myth Summary:
Persephone, the daughter of Demeter, becomes the queen of the underworld after being abducted by Hades. She spends part of the year in the underworld and the rest on Earth, symbolizing the changing seasons.
Some lesser-known versions of the myth describe an attempt to locate Persephone’s mortal remains after her abduction, only to find that her body is missing, signifying her complete transformation into a divine being.
Empty Tomb Connection:
The absence of her body in these versions mirrors her liminal existence between life and death, earth and the underworld. While not central to her myth in its most common form, the theme of disappearance aligns with her dual role as a symbol of death and rebirth.
Significance:
Persephone’s story emphasizes the cyclical nature of life, death, and renewal, with her “absence” highlighting her transcendence beyond mortal constraints.
As a mad dog atheist, “suppressing the truth in unrighteousness” so I can sin with impunity, I nevertheless boast few real perversions. One of these, perhaps most shameful, is my attachment to Amazon reviews. (My all-time favorite was a one star rating with the rather forlorn comment, I don’t remember ordering this.)
I also enjoy debates between Christian apologists and New Age metaphysicians. Generally it’s the blind vs the misinformed but Huff clearly has some academic knowledge. The best moment in his debate with Carson was the look on Carson’s face when Huff casually pulled copies of Atra-Hasis and Enuma Elish off his shelf and proceeded to describe what they actually contain, as opposed to Carson’s obvious cluelessness. Carson has been doing serious damage control ever since.
Of course Huff has issues of his own but at least he’s not pulling it all out of his butt like Carson.
