What do *you* think happens immediately at death?
I think what the Michael Newton books have found through psychological case studies:
some can contact loved ones
one will be prepared for the adjustment to the new living environment, the new reality
with more advanced beings, one will review one’s past incarnation
one may stay in that place
or one may choose to reincarnate
one will not see the Biblical Jesus
(Yes, in the case studies there is a mention that no one has reported seeing Jesus.)

I’m pretty sure that in other cases some people think they’ve seen Jesus. I think there was a Hollywood movie documenting such a case.
There is a difference between what people come up with on their own vs. what comes up in regression.
The conscious mind of a believer wants to see Jesus, especially if he has an audience looking for confirmation, and will report that.

So this hypnotic regression process provides (more) objective results–is that what you are suggesting? Wouldn’t the unconsconscious or hypnotized mind of some believers also want to see Jesus, whereas others might want to see someone or something else?
It’s one thing to say an untruth on Earth but another thing to try to say an untruth in the afterlife.
For one, an untruth will have no corroboration from the spirit guides in the afterlife.

This time a year ago an “overread” MRI was dire enough to refuse to consider debilitating treatment for the time remaining. (All that changed later with a second opinion, thank goodness.) I found myself looking forward to seeing departed loved ones again.
God is spirit. He created us in His image. Each of us has a spirit that returns to God at death. I do not know any of this but it’s what I believe. Such a belief makes death not all that frightening.

We are part of a spiritual collective, we return to the Queen/King of the collective.

So is part of your evidence that a Jesus of Nazareth, crucified by Pontius Pilate, did not exist obtained from hypnotic regression and contact with reliable spirit guides in the afterlife?
Let me see if I understand your question–maybe I can reword it so I can answer it.
The Biblical Jesus did not exist.
Is there evidence from hypnotic regression and contact with reliable spirit guides in the afterlife that the Biblical Jesus did not exist?
Steve Campbell, Author of Historical Accuracy
I am an authority on that question given the 17 years researching, writing, editing, discussing my book about various matters in the Christian Bible.
Spirit guides in the afterlife are outside the scope of my book. The non-existence of the Biblical Jesus as I have proven in my book does not require that field of knowledge and experience. My book closes the issue raised by Albert Schweitzer. That is part of the importance of my book. Albert Schweitzer and others who have written about the quest for the historical Jesus did not venture into the existence of Jesus in the afterlife by way of hypnotic regression and mediums.
Would you like to open that door by putting forth some scholar/s?
As I suspected, you have no “scholars” to escort you into the human experience of the afterlife.
In the field of knowledge about the afterlife, there are earthbound souls post incarnation who just haunt the earth.
“There is no afterlife. If I just stay on earth, I can justify there is only earth on no place else.
I can justify my argued stance for secularism, agnosticism, atheism, anti-spirituality, or what have you.”
Of course you see no value because you have no escort into that experience of human reality.

And do you think case studies in hypnotic regression or claims of contact with spirit guides in the afterlife are legitimate scholarship and provide reliable knowledge of the afterlife?
There is so much scholarship around the Biblical Jesus, a composite character of historical fiction, that you defend and get snooty about, you are not qualified to speak about legitimate scholarship and reliable knowledge.
I like Ray Bradbury’s suggestion that you should get to come back for a year every hundred years. Of course that would let you catch up on history if that’s all you wanted to do. But how long would it be until you just didn’t want to come back? How long until the world is so strange that you can’t find a point of connection?
