Circassian dances are a special part of the culture of the Circassian people. These national dances evoke imagery of combat and courtship.
Dancing ability is very important for social standing in Circassian communities, especially with regards to marriage and romantic relationships. They share some common traits with ballet: men dance on a sort of military-style wearing, sometimes, a dagger or a sword. Women move very lightly, like penguins, floating across the floor without shaking their heads or upper bodies.
During weddings or special occasions, young dancers, women, and men are hired to dance. Why is that for?
1) Performers can play any request, which makes the guests a part of the entertainment.
2) People will keep more attention to a skilled dancer than a dumb one.

Now, Dr. Bart Ehrman is always looking for fundraising occasions to help those in need, and the blog’s charities. (1)
I feel that a historian with great oratory skills would be a nice addition to a wedding. I mean someone that says: “There is no meaning to man’s actions, nor is there an end to history. What is hope? There is no sense and there is no end.”
He would be really killing the party.

Would you really characterize a penguin as moving lightly, floating across the floor?

Yeah, I know. It looks fishy.

If Bart Erhman was invited to a wedding to give a speech, I think he would talk about Ecclesiastes. A book dear to him to face the problem of suffering in the Holy Scriptures.
He would say: “And the author of Ecclesiastes did not think that this problem (justice, suffering) was going to be solved in the afterlife.
He does not believe in the immortality of the soul.
He does not believe that after you die you continue to live.
For the author of Ecclesiastes, this life is not a dress rehearsal for that’s going to happen later.
This is not a dry run.
This is it.
This life is all we have, and it is transient and fleeting.
How then should we live this life?
We should live life as fully as we can.
In the present.
This life is not going to be here forever, it’s not going to be here for long, and so we should enjoy what we eat, we should enjoy what we drink, we should enjoy our work, we should enjoy our spouses, we should enjoy our friends and families.” (1)
