Ehrman says that apocalyptic thought within Judaism began with Maccabean Revolt therefore resurrection of dead is common belief after that time .

But also he says that Book of Warchers ( 1 Enoch) contents resurrection of the dead . However Book of Warchers’ s date is 3.Century BCE.

Isn’t it a conradicting view?

Perhaps apocalypticism will turn out to be rather like gnosticism, less a systematic body of thought than simply the spirit of the age which expressed itself in various cultural milieu.
