Hello everyone,
I wanted to start reading some of the writings of Josephus and was wondering if anyone could recommend some good modern translations. I started reading one a while ago, but the translation was so outdated that I struggled to read a paragraph lol. I would appreciate any recommendations.

Why?
Possible Answers:
1 – I am interested in the Hebrew Bible, so I am reading most, if not all, of Antiquities.
2 – I am interested in the Tribulation, the destruction of Jerusalem mentioned by Jesus in the gospels, so I am reading most, if not all, of The Jewish Wars.
3 – I am interested in a) the Hebrew Bible, b) the destruction of Jerusalem mentioned by Jesus in the gospels, AND c) the life of Josephus, so I am reading most, if not all, of the Works of Josephus
If your answer is #2 (the Jewish Wars), I see two items at amazon
1 – Penguin Classics, Revised Edition
2 – Oxford World’s Classics
