hello Robert, since you know hebrew, can you help me out and tell if if moses drank blood from animal sacrifices?
exodus 24:8
And Moses took the blood and sprinkled [it] on the people, and he said, “Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord has formed with you concerning these words.”
this blood is sprinkled on the pppl , other half on the alter
“they ate and they drank”
It doesn’t say there that they drank the blood.

The first reference of ancient people eating or drinking blood, I am aware of, goes back to blood sausages (sausages filled with blood that is cooked or dried) in the Odyssey, Book 18.
And Antinous, son of Eupeithes, spoke among them, and said: “Hear me, ye proud wooers, that I may say somewhat. Here at the fire are goats’ paunches lying, which we set there for supper, when we had filled them with fat and blood. (1)
Using evidence from star and sun locations mentioned in the book, some scholars have placed the Trojan War around 1200 b.c.e.
