Red Heifer is not Escatological (Rebuild the Temple)? Not in Revelations. Only in Numbers (19:2)?

If you would have asked me about the red heifer
I would have told you Jews and Christians are referring to sacrifices starting again at the Temple of Jerusalem.
This is not in Revelations. I’m only getting Numbers 19:2 when I search for red heifer.

Question: Is there a new Temple of Jerusalem in Revelations?
Answer:

No, there isn’t a new temple in the New Jerusalem in Revelation. Revelation 21:22 explicitly states, “And I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple,” according to Bible Hub. The passage emphasizes that the presence of God and the Lamb, as the source of light and glory, eliminates the need for a physical temple.
Here’s a more detailed explanation:

No Temple Building:
The New Jerusalem, described in Revelation 21 and 22, is depicted as a place where God and the Lamb are the ultimate temple, meaning their presence permeates the entire city.

Symbolic Significance:
Some interpretations view the temple as a symbol of separation between God and humanity, as seen in the Old Testament. In the New Jerusalem, this separation is eliminated, and God’s presence is fully accessible.
God as the Temple:
The passage highlights that God’s glory and the Lamb’s presence are the source of light and life for the New Jerusalem, making a separate temple unnecessary.
Contrast with Earthly Temples:
The absence of a temple in the New Jerusalem contrasts with the earthly temples of the Old Testament and the potential for a future temple in Jerusalem during the millennium, as some interpret prophecies in Ezekiel and Zechariah.
Focus on God’s Presence:
The emphasis is on the direct and all-encompassing presence of God and the Lamb in the New Jerusalem, rather than a physical structure.

Wait a second. We used to sing about a New Jerusalem.

Answer:
Yes, the Book of Revelation describes a New Jerusalem, a holy city that descends from heaven to the new earth. It’s depicted as a magnificent, cube-shaped city, radiating with the glory of God. This New Jerusalem is not just a place, but also symbolizes the union of God with His people.
Here’s a more detailed look:

Symbolism:
The New Jerusalem is more than a literal city; it represents God’s people united with Him in a perfected creation.

Appearance:
It’s described as incredibly beautiful, shining with the glory of God, and made of pure gold, with walls adorned with precious stones.
Size:
It’s massive, potentially 1,500 miles in length, width, and height, with twelve gates made of pearls.
Function:
The New Jerusalem is where God and the Lamb (Jesus) dwell with His people, who are described as the “bride, the Lamb’s wife”.
Relationship with the New Earth:
The New Jerusalem is part of the new heaven and new earth, where God’s presence is fully realized.
No Temple:
Unlike earthly Jerusalem, the New Jerusalem has no temple, as God and the Lamb are its temple.

This is one reason why Christians have to study the New Testament.

It has been faulty to go along with New Jerusalem means New Temple of Jerusalem with sacrifices of red heifers.

So, Jesus wasn’t bringing a New Kingdom of God/Righteousness/Heaven where animals were being sacrificed?
Answer: No.

I look forward to comments that explain how this mistake could have been avoided.

Does Isaiah 60: 1-5, 11 say anything different?

Reference Zechariah 14:20-21

The pots available to everyone replace the bowls and alter, and there is no longer any moneychangers for the buying and selling of sacrifices. Zechariah does not describe a rebuilding of Solomon’s Temple nor a reenactment of the temple sacrifice traditions. No Red Heifer in Zechariah.

The Day of the Lord = The 1000 year reign.

a day is like a thousand years, Psalm 90:4

I think this is meant to be taken poetically. The psalmist is expressing both his anguish and his despair and he’s praying for relief from the peoples present suffering. He is expressing the eternity of God’s existence and comparing the length of His time to our own. I think he goes on to say, “teach us to number our days“. I love that line! It’s so precisely meaningful, forceful and brief.

No, Psalm 90:4 is not poetry. Poetry is the word for created in Genesis 1:1. ποιεω poieo po poetry
A (one) Day=1000 years, that is why Adam lives 930 years after the day Genesis 2:17.

Adam was created 70 years old when he heard Genesis 2:17, and did Genesis 3:6, but since 70=0,1 and Adam dies the same day in this circumstance Adam lives 930 years after, or really 1000 years=1 day. Therefore the world shall exist for 6000 years (6 days) after Genesis 1:5 because it was created in 6 days and is divided into 3 parts. 1/3 chaos, 1/3 Torah, 1/3 messiah, or each is equivalent as 2000 years. Day 7 or year 6001-7000 is the Day of the LORD, 1000 year Reign of the LORD.

IT IS NOW YEAR 5785! And the red heifer must be sacrificed to cleanse the whole world of it all before the LORD can return. The LORD will not return because the whole world of it is filthy from dead bodies and touching it all.

What Jill? I’m not disagreeing with your explanation either.

I’m sorry. I get a little excited over a red heifer sacrifice and there’s a war going on.
Is this red heifer a cow without horns? Cows without horns are usually less aggressive and defiant. Now really sure how anybody is going to walk around a raging rodeo bull and make it go anywhere or do anything it doesn’t want to do.

Well, that is the whole point of the prayer. Teach us to number our days. No one of us is immortal. Blood shed causes nothing but grief and solves nothing at all at the end of it. The prayer is a voice lost in the milieu of war. The voice belongs to anyone who says that prayer.
