Exodus 3:15 “God also said to Moses, Say to the Israelites, Yahweh, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.”

The symbolism is strong; Abraham is the father, Isaac the son to be sacrificed and Jacob is Israel. Named Israel because he struggled/wrestled with god and overpowered him. He was named Israel either at Penuel, the presence of god, or Bethel, the house of god where his spirit dwells.

So Yahweh is the god of the father, the god of the son to be sacrificed and god of the divine power.

No not intended by the author(s) – just interesting.

Didn’t need to be there, but it is.
