I just finished looking at this page: ** you do not have permission to see this link **
It does not clearly tell me when the garments from the Antonia Fortress were worn. I’m left with making this (probably incomplete) statement:
“Built by Herod the Great and named for Mark Antony, the Antonia Fortress was a military barracks. Vestments worn by priests of the Temple of Jerusalem for the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) and Passover were stored there.”
The vestments had to be removed from Antonia Fortress only twice a year, for Yom Kippur and Passover?
Please advise.
Josephus contends that the high priest almost invariably participated in the ceremonies on Shabbat, the New Moon, and the festivals.
The Three Pilgrimage Festivals, known as the Shalosh Regalim (שלוש רגלים), are three major festivals in Judaism — Pesach (Passover), Shavuot (Weeks), and Sukkot (Tents or Booths) — when the Israelites living in the Kingdom of Judah would make a pilgrimage to Temple in Jerusalem, as commanded by the Torah
