I watched the video.
I watched the video a second time.
Resolution: Agree with Ian Mills.
Ian Mills
I have Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and Atheist professors.
Universities are not filled with apologists and systematic theologians.
There are no professors of New Testament or Ancient History who do not believe in the historical Jesus.
JUSTIFICATION:
1) Letters of Paul
2) Two references in Josephus
3) The Gospels
1) The Letters of Paul
Other people are citing the teachings of Jesus against him
Paul made references to the teachings of Jesus.
Paul on marriage
Paul on whether or not teachers are to be paid for their work
So, everyone else knows these two lessons of Jesus, the latter is mundane.
Paul says he met James.
Even though the gospels are 1) post-resurrection and 2) narratives doing theological work
Joseph Klausner (1874-1958) wrote the book, Jesus of Nazareth: His Life, Times, and Teaching
Steve Campbell
Jesus Who? Jesus Damneus, son of Damneus?
Tell us why Jesus is not Jesus Damneus.
Paul made references to the teachings of Jesus?
Did Paul make a reference to Jesus healing a Roman centurion’s slave?
Did Paul make a reference to Jesus being told by Pilate, I find no fault in you?
Paul met James.
Did he ask how Mary was doing? Did he ask how did James grieve over the death of Mary?
Did he tell James, Mary is with Jesus in heaven?
Did he tell James, Mary will be resurrected soon.
How old was James when Jesus was crucified?
Does James remember how sad Mary was when she came home from the crucifixion?
Does James remember how happy Mary was when he resurrected?
Was Mary sad when her ascended to Heaven after 40 days?
Did John, the Beloved Disciple, teach James all he knew about Jesus?
Joseph Klausner throws out the Gospel of John because it is a religio-philosophical book, not a religio-historical book.
Judgment: Against the resolution. Do not agree with Ian Mills.
