Atonement: penal substitution vs non penal

I wanted to start a thread about atonement.  Specifically, I want to discuss penal substitution vs non penal atonement.  I think non penal substitution accurately describes the original understanding of the cross of Christ, and here’s a brief blog post explaining why (it also shows why mythicism can’t be right): ** you do not have permission to see this link **

Interesting!  Of course  you  do  realize I’ll have to  read  the  article  and  think  about  it  for  a  while  before  responding.  But I will.   Great  subject.
