Thanks for replying Bart…I was hoping you would. You seem to be pretty fair minded and practical. I wasn’t sure what to make of the video. I have been studying the differences between Christianity and Judaism, and why Jews don’t accept Jesus. It has taught me a lot in addition to your site/books. I am pretty surprised she sent me a link to this video. Are you familiar with Rabbi Tovia Singer?
I am currently reading How Jesus Became God. Pretty interesting!

Thank you.
As for Caesar’s Messiah, the book, on amazon, I gave it two stars. However, six of 18 book sections/chapters earned an A- to A+.
I have a video lecture coming out soon inspired by one of the chapters that really does deserve an A+. While 12 sections of the book fell below A-, it would be wrong to dismiss the six sections that are instructive and excellent.

Go to the 2-star reviews. My review is titled: “6 of 18 Sections (16 Ch.s + Intro and Conclusion) Earn an A- to an A+”
7 chapters are must-read:
A+ for Chapter 3: The Myth for the World
B for Chapter 4: The Demons of Gadara
A- for Chapter 6: Eleazar – Lazarus: The Real Christ
B for Chapter 8: The New Root and Branch
A for Chapter 9: Until All Is Fulfilled
A+ for Chapter 11: The Puzzle of Decius Mundus
B for Chapter 13: Josephus’ Use of the Book of Daniel
My 4th time giving the lecture/presentation is here. It has more than 250 views. In about a week, I’ll post the 5th time giving the lecture/presentation. There are some improvements to the 4th time, hence the need for the 5th time.
The description of the video is more important than the title. I’m trying different titles to generate views since I’m not working with a publicist until I get to that level. Here is the description:
Josephus continued his thoughts on Jesus after the Testimonium passage. He speaks of Jesus as dying for the world but as an impostor. He alleges Paul reallocated political power and funds from Temple Judaism to Gentile Christianity. Jesus closes the age of Temple Judaism in a way not obvious in the New Testament or in The Koran. Many references have been made from the statements of Jesus to scriptures in the Hebrew Bible. When this is done for interpreting Jesus’ death as atonement and for the Last Supper, we discover how agonizing it was for first century Jews (Josephus included) to rethink God and Salvation. The question to New Testament critics is: Did Jesus, circa 33 C.E. really instruct remembrance of him via bread and wine metaphor?
