I subsscribe the the Biblical Archaeological Review (BAR) and found an ad for a book Jesus and After – The First 80 Years. It appears to be an outline of what early Christians may have believed and might provide some insight into the historical Jesus. I am considering purchasing this book. Is anyone else familiar with this particular book? How well does it coincide and/or compare and contrast with the views and theories of Bart Ehrman? Dr. Ehrman, if you check this forum, could you weigh in? Do you have an opinion of Brooks’ work?

I’ve never seen Bart weigh in here.  He basically set up this forum so he’d have fewer posts to vet in the blog comments section.  My advice is just wait for an opportunity to ask him about it there.

No one else has posted, so I am guessing none of the blog members here are familiar with Ernest Bruce Brooks and his works. I will try to figure out a way to ask Bart directly.

Thanks.  Tim
