I have really enjoyed the PBS Frontline documentary mini-series “From Jesus to Christ: The First Christians”
** you do not have permission to see this link **
I first encountered it when it was broadcast nearly 20 years ago, then I bought the VHS tapes and now stream it online. I get something new out of it each time I watch it, and I find much of it consistent with what I know of Bart’s work.
But I have to ask: Bart, do you – or anyone else here – have a point of view on the integrity of the scholarship underpinning the series, or on the analysis, opinions and conclusions offered by the many academics who contributed to the series?
Maybe it’s easier to ask instead, “What did they get wrong, and why?”
Thanks in advance,
JS
