Well thank you Judith, but I’d be interested to know how you like the excerpt I put at your thread. Ever notice how much more articulate the scientists are, and how well they write? I’ve been shamed by a mathematician this time, and glad of it. A woman recommended it to me 30 years ago at a train station bookshop.
p.s. Robert, just so you don’t think I’m conflating Kant w/ Nietzsche, his nebula theory got me started in astronomy, and he’s definitely the most muscular of the bunch. My wife and I met online and b/t Chicago and NJ we built what was then (7 years ago) the largest binocular telescope in the state. You’re in Princeton, 10 minutes away. If things go that way, we’ll have to have you over for the Great (globular) Cluster in Hercules. It really pulls you in through a twin 12.5″ reflector. (That’s my scope b/c it needs a ladder, but I did give her a 6″ refractor.) Gee I’m swell.
