EcceHomo

I have heard Dr Ehrman say in a few of his lectures that the phrase “Son of Man” can be confused, or is in fact the same as “human.” Bar-Adam. So you could do some wordplay, like when Jesus says that the “Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath”.
So what I am getting at is when the “jews” (Sanhedrin members, or whatever present Jesus to Pilate and he asks what Jesus’ crime was, and the accusers say something like “he thinks he is the Son of Man” and that is translated to Pilate as something like “He is a man, or thinks he is a man”??
Hence “Behold the Man” ??
I have just found that statement always a bit out of place.
