Any other ancient mss. show the pages being turned smoothly?

Why is Sinaiticus in such “phenomenally good condition” – Helen Shenton, British Library

Is it really a 4th century ms?

There is a longer version of the full episode, but for some reason the image is reversed. (That is mostly apparent when you see the captions being backwards, but it really means that everything is reversed.) It is a pity that the series seems not to be available on DVD.

Thanks!

And I added three additional videos related to the topic on my PureBibleForum pages above, in the third post.

And I do remember the longer version, however right now I am not sure if I can find it, my urls for that are kaput.

This does show a BBC intro page.

The textual critics who accept the Tischendorf pseudo-palaegraphy do not like grappling with the problem of the phenomenal condition.

This is what I have for the fuller episodes: ** you do not have permission to see this link **

The first one is the Sinaiticus Codex and Winchester Bible.

I like the quote from one person that handling a famous book is like meeting a celebrity. On one level, you are trying to be cool and collected, but inside, you feel the excitement just to be so close to it.
