in the film exorcist, what has the demon who possessed the little girl got to do with jewish and christian beliefs?
some say that this demon was called out to by pregnant women and that it had the power to read minds and command the winds from the east and west.

i heard that when jews used to perform exorcisms , they used to do it by solomon?
how did that work?
did they really believe solomons spirit was involved in the exorcism ?

There were three sequels and a TV show derived from the original Exorcist book and movie? Jeepers! I guess that proves demons do exist.
Concluding Unscientific Postscript:
When the original movie came out I was a kid going to the hardcore fundamentalist church I grew up in. I can still remember the arguments as to whether or not Christians should go see the movie. It was all a moot point for me because I wasn’t allowed to go to the theatre at all. I went to a movie theater for the first time when I got my drivers license and could drive myself. It’s odd but I can’t remember the first movie I ever saw in a theater.
