King Hezekiah and King Josiah gave reform and monotheism.

Monotheism was taught as a Moses thing. What is this Monotheism Part 2?

The Paul Wallis video:

Jesus put an end to the era of Yahweh. Jesus brought something better.

This probably could only have happened when not only was there an end to the era of Yahweh but an end to Temple Judaism.

Jesus was not impressed with Yahweh being a father.

Steefen:
Yahweh as Destroyer from the Mountains or the Plains? Yahweh did not achieve victory in the Jewish Roman War I, II, or III.

So, in the gospels, there is a repudiation of Yahweh.

Paul Wallis says a Platonic idea replaced Yahweh and the early church fathers knew this.

More than a decade with Ehrman and I did not learn Yahweh was not Jesus’ father.

Jesus would not have wanted believers in him to be confused by Yahweh and the Hebrew testament coming before and continuing into new testament.

Did the disciples really know this?

The Qumran community, John the Baptist, the Jewish Apocalypticism movement, Herod the Great did not know Yahweh was not God the Creator.

Matthew 7:9-10 shows Jesus breaking with the past.

Wow….just wow… my spirit has never allowed me to reference the father as Yahweh…even after all the study and the many great intellects I admire supporting this reference without dispute..I ABSOLUTELY COULD NOT put my finger on why the reference disagreed with me when in prayer..it was really bothering me…I thought “I HAVE NO NAME FOR MY FATHER” at the end of every prayer I would ask “Father one day let me know your name…other than love, forgiveness and Christ..let me know your name” I now know why. Thank you.

Yahweh would let his son get killed–Parable of the Wicked Tenants?
No.

So the Father isn’t an improvement over Yahweh.

Dr. Ehrman,

As a textual critic of the New Testament, have you had to use the Brown-Driver-Briggs (Hebrew and English Lexicon of the Old Testament)?

On what topics have it been helpful? Any other comments about it?

Thank you.

Dr. Ehrman’s Response to Me:

Sure, when I learned Hebrew it was the most important lexicon. Still is. But it’s a Hebrew lexicon, not Greek, so not used much when it comes to studying Greek mss of the NT.
