Dave Allen is a Josephus-focused author. He is also a supporter of the reconstruction of Jesus the Zealot, which still has many supporters and is being developed. He always joked about my radical mythicism, and I explained to him that his works would be the main argument confirming my theses. The more Jesus you find in Josephus, the better for me. Everything you discover will confirm my theses.
Of course, we are different. Dave sees in Josephus confirmation of the historical Jesus. I see it as a source for the imaginary earthly biography of Jesus.
