Hello, in John 4,44 we read that Jesus himself had said that a prophet is not honored in his own hometown. Should we interpret this as a reference to facts and dialogues presented in the synoptics (Mark 6,4, Luke 4,24 and Matthew 13,57)? Is this a sign that whoever wrote John was making reference to passages of the synoptics which should be already known to the reader?
