Mt 8:2–3
Mk 1:40–42
Lk 5:12–13
is it possible that agreement between these texts were based on them being repeated so often by the first eyewitnesses?
the infancy narratives and the passion narratives go off in different directions, so then this would imply that eyewitnesses agreed to disagree ?

thanks for the response.
“When one looks at the extent of copying among the three gospels, not just this part of a passage, including the considerable deviation that is easily understood as obvious improvements, it is generally held that only a directly literary dependence upon the gospel of Mark by Matthew and Luke can best explain all the evidence.”
more questions.
luke says that he is not an eyewitness and is writing after many have already written their accounts. that luke was able to make changes to mark seems to me that luke belonged to rich community which had the power to give luke authority to make changes. is this correct?
how do you just go about making changes ?

It’s more likely that Matthew had a copy of Mark and Luke had copies of Mark and Matthew.
