I have two questions
In the gospel of john, it is reported that , “destroy this temple and in three days i will raise it up”
but then it verses 22 it says “he was RAISED up”
refer to john 2:19-22.
can this mean that god brought jesus back to life and then jesus simply got up like everyone gets up from a lying position? in other words, john is not saying that jesus took part in bringing himself back to life like god did, he simply got up from his lying position?

Christ being raised on the third day could that have a double meaning?

It seems a no way lexical interpretation of a theological misreading.
Unless it was a verbal command to tell him to get out of the way.
“Raise up, Jesus!”

Here is something to think about.

Jonah was in the belly of the fish for three days but he was not dead.

In traditional mythology the “dark of the moon” (the time of the month when the moon is no longer visible in the night sky) lasted three days.

That’s interesting.

I have books on Greek mythology is that “dark of the moon” from the Greeks or another people?

Now you have spurred me on to reenter Edith Hamilton’s books.
