In the gospel of matthew, the woman is told that she has great faith.
in the gospel of mark, it seems to me that the woman is told “thats a clever come back”
“for saying that….”
is mark portraying the womans response as a clever response which convinces jesus to help her?
mark is a gospel which talks about faith quite a lot and how fear kills faith.
the woman , even after being insulted by jesus, sticks to pestering him, until she win a cure.
this should be “great faith” even after abuse, but why did mark render it as “for saying that….” ?
