Through laboratory-controlled experiments, it is known that different species appear to be plugged into a dedicated intelligence field that is universal to that particular species.
Basically, Sheldrake’s Theory explains “intuitive” functioning to a degree.

It might be worth noting that Rupert Sheldrake is not considered a scientist in the scientific community at large, nor are his claims considered much more than entertaining pseudo-science. “Feeling” that you are connected to something greater than yourself is hardly the same as actually “being” connected to something greater than yourself. It also isn’t really a scientifically testable thesis, as such. (One might, at best, detect brain stimulation of certain types based on such feelings, which, of course, do not verify the reality of the claims.)
Who is the esteemed subject of this thread, Dr. Rupert Sheldrake?
Dr. Rupert Sheldrake studied biology and biochemisty at Clare College, Cambridge.
After a year at Harvard studying philosophy and history of science, he returned to Cambridge
where he gained a PhD in biochemistry for his work in plant development and plant hormones.
And who is Mark Vernon?
He is a psychotherapist and writer, interested in spirituality and inner life.
He has a PhD in ancient philosophy, as well as degrees in physics and in theology.
His degree in Theology is from the University of Oxford.
His additional degree in Theology is from Durham University where he also earned a Physics degree.
His PhD is in Ancient Greek Philosophy from the University of Warwick.
It is an honor for these educated persons to be introduced to an audience of trade nonfiction books readers.

The opposite of gravity is levity.
This is a great line. Perhaps such posts and threads are best viewed as humorous pseudoscience.
“The Opposite of Gravity is Levity”
Reference the video: 19:30 – 27:30
Dr. Mark Vernon:
When gravity came to mean what it does now, it was cut off from what was its equal and opposite force in the Medieval world which was levity.
In the Medieval world, gravity forced you down and levity drew you up. In that world, gravity and levity were physical and spiritual dynamics. Spiritual levity was associated with air and fire that tended to rise and return to the divine whereas gravity was associated with water and earth which tended to go down and separate you from the divine. … This is Plato’s original idea: time is the moving image of eternity.

Robert, that is humorous to you. Robert, you are in error. I do not want to know what warped sense of humor laughs at that edifying contribution to the discussion.

Robert: Pseudo-science! LOL, Dr. Sheldrake and Dr. Vernon are ridiculous, join me in laughing at them, hey everybody, look psuedoscience (a collection of beliefs or practices mistakenly regarded as being based on scientific method).

It was during the 16th century that Francis Bacon popularized the inductive reasoning methods that would thereafter become known as the scientific method.
And what is the timespan of the Medieval period? The answer is 500 to 1400-1500 C.E.
Before dying, a dog pulls himself up and gives his paw to people in his home because the dog has a psychic awareness that the humans are going to euthanize him the next day.
Telepathy between humans, but panpsychism is about telepathy between humans and animals, like this dog.
Have some respect.

Esteemed by whom? There is no such thing as telepathy (outside of fiction). But perhaps you know what I am thinking now? (That should not be hard, even without telepathy.)
…panpsychism is about telepathy between humans and animals, like this dog…
Actually panpsychism is the belief that consciousness is an emergent property of reality. Everything is conscious to some degree. But I’ve know humans I didn’t think were conscious, much less rocks!

So be careful when you laugh lest you fly off into space.

Stephen’s definition is unnecessary and it is a distraction from the case presented. Stephen is probably trying to roll back case evidence that establishes the phenomenon rather than proposes it for belief.

Can you provide “evidence that establishes the phenomenon” rather than “proposes it for belief”?

He will send that telepathically.
