Hi,
As we know there is self reference for prophecy for Jesus resurrection “3 days 3 night” “sign of Jonah” in the Gospel.
Is there any prophecy about Paul himself during Jesus ministry? There will be someone who come and preach “Torah of Christ” to the Gentiles
How we can be certain that Paul’s claim to have vision about Jesus can be cross examined and legitimated by Jesus’s prophecy during his ministry
Since Paul can be considered as “2nd founder” of today Christianity
Thanks

You make a good point. Clearly, prophecy was important to Jesus. He was always concerned about fulfilling OT prophecies. It was also important to the Jewish people. Maybe that is why the Jews didn’t buy Paul’s story, while the Gentiles did.
Also, if Jesus had wanted an apostle to teach the Gentiles, why didn’t he recruit one while he was alive. Why wait until years after his death and then recruit Paul with a vision. Jesus didn’t even inform his twelve apostles that a new apostle would be sent to them in a few years. As it was, they didn’t believe Paul when he showed up to meet Peter and James.

I think its because Jesus didnt think the current world would be here…same reason he or his followers didnt bother to write anything down – or even hire someone to write it down if they couldnt. For them the end was nigh.
