We know so much about the cosmology of the ancient Canaanites that joined to become the “Hebrews”. Looking at parts of Paul’s writings like Romans 8, his cosmology is a basis for much of his belief system. Everything is decaying, God will make everything not decay, this should strengthen your faith and cause you to believe.
Today we know the laws of thermodynamics and they aren’t about decay but about transformation of energy to different forms. Is there a good read on the general cosmology of this period of time in human history?
Usually, like Satan, you have to say my name three times before I will appear.

If you’re talking Paul and his views then you probably can’t do any better than Adela Yarbro Collins’ ** you do not have permission to see this link **.

Actually, we know very little about Canaanite cosmology and cosmogony. It is hard to get much of a good picture of this, but primarily because “canaanite” is a misnomer applied to several different ethnic groups, often speaking different languages, and having different religions, or syncretic religions. For instance, we apply “Canaanite” to Ugarit, which is our primary source for all Canaanite religion, but the Ugaritans were syncretized Ammorites-Canaanites (hence why Baal is both the son of El and of Dagan).
For cosmology, I would suggest reading: Jan Dochhorn, “‘World’ (ዓለም) in the Ascension of Isaiah,” Ephemerides Theologicae Lovanienses 94 (2018): 241-256
This has an excellent comparison of Paul’s and the AoI’s cosmologies, which is very useful.

Thanks for the reference. I’m currently hip deep in Merkabah mysticism and I’ll get to it when I can. (I did make the mistake of going into Academia.edu and searching for Ascension of Isaiah. jeezus. One quickly learns the utility of narrowing one’s search and I do know some names at this point so all hope is not lost.)
