I have been wondering for a very long time, what it meant, when it is said in Acts and when it is stated by Paul himself, that he would had used to persecute the Church*
1. Who gave Paul the Authority to persecute?
2. Who had been the initiators of the persecution and why did they persecute?
3. What meant “persecution” in this context? In the citations there is something said about jail and even stoning. Yikes!
4. Was Paul actually responsible for the death of people? If yes, why doesn’t he say so?
