How about teaching this in History class ? ? ?

And teaching in Sunday School that before Genesis was the first book in the HOLY Bible, there were some Sumerian accounts.

You can’t trust history teachers and Sunday School teachers. SAY IT ! ! !

I can’t trust history teachers and Sunday School teachers–and I cannot trust the HOLY Bible.

Why bother to be holy?

Adam was expelled from the Garden of Eden before he could eat from The Tree of Life.

Mankind was expelled from completing The Tower of Babel.

Whenever mankind reaches a near godlike state of existence; wham bam zoom to the moon

One was a rather serious story with unusual astronomy and weird astrology,

Steefen
What verse has weird astrology and what makes the astrology weird?

Let’s get back to the topic.

What ? ? ?
The Sumerians wrote about Gods who confused human speech.

Steve Campbell
No, the Sumerians did not write about Gods who confused human speech.
I went to the library. Got two books. That’s not what I’m reading.

ChatGPT
Yes, not only is there the creation and flood stories that the Bible was not the first to cover but the Sumerian myth that corresponds to the Tower of Babel story is found in the Enmerkar and the Lord of Aratta.

In this myth, the gods are depicted as confusing the speech of humans, making it impossible for them to understand one another, much like the biblical account in Genesis 11:1–9.

Steve Campbell
I wouldn’t describe it that way.

ChatGPT
The story is set during the reign of Enmerkar, the king of Uruk, who attempts to communicate with the ruler of Aratta for the construction of a grand project. The gods, however, intervene by introducing multiple languages, which leads to confusion and an inability to cooperate. This divine act of causing linguistic division is a key element of the narrative, and it’s often seen as a parallel to the Tower of Babel, where God scatters humanity and creates linguistic diversity to prevent them from completing the tower.

The Sumerian myth is one of the earliest examples of explaining the origin of different languages as a result of divine intervention.

Steve Campbell
Maybe I need to have a conversation with you Chat.

Steefen
What? That’s what Robert is talking about?

Steve Campbell
Enmenkar and the Lord of Aratta is not comparable to the Tower of Babel story in the bible.

Remember, I categories my statements as either Necessity or Context. Putting the Sumerian poem under the Tower of Babel story would not fall under the stronger category of Necessity. It would fall under the weaker category of Context by a stretch.

I find the last comment inscrutable.

Who is talking to whom? How did Robert enter into it?
