Daniel 9 is a magic spell to bring forth the Apocalypse and resurrection of King David, King David gets flown to heaven by an angel and then returns to begin the new Heaven and new Earth.

Afterwards the other nations are required to pay religious homage at Jerusalem every year, if not they will have no rain. Then they’ll be sorry. Zechariah 14:17

Cyrus King of Persia behaved himself at the temple, and so this all never happened. Failed apocalypse. In the New Testament the King David is swapped for the Lamb. The Jewish Roman Wars and what became Christianity put an end to daily sacrifices at the Temple. 1000 years went by and the Cathars got into big trouble for refusing military service, fasting themselves to death, and declaring themselves sovereign from Christendom. Then came the Protestant Reformation.

There was no resurrection. The dead would rather stay dead.
