@Steefen
re Matt 5:17-18
Ah yes, apologies for my oversight. Perhaps it would have been helpful if I had also mentioned I regard the heavens and the earth here as figurative not literal.

One thing that wasn’t fulfilled were the verses of Zechariah:
@Steefen
He’s a prophet.
Matt 5:17, Jesus came to fulfil law and prophets.
Matt 5:18, is only talking about the law, he only had to fulfil the law to finish the law.
Doesn’t say if he didn’t fulfil all the prophecies at his first coming and finish the prophets as well, the law wouldn’t get cancelled.
Here’s an OT prophecy requiring a change to the law.
Psa 110:4 The LORD has sworn And will not relent, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”
and here’s the Hebrews commentary on that
Heb 7:11 Therefore, if perfection were through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need was there that another priest should rise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be called according to the order of Aaron?
Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed,
of necessity
there is also a change of the law.
Here’s an OT prophecy requiring a change to the law.
Psa 110:4 The LORD has sworn And will not relent, “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek.”
Steefen:
That doesn’t sound like a personal observation of the law.
It sounds like a law about who can be a priest if the person is not a Levite.

Isaiah 2:4 creates worldwide paranoia that the Jews plan to enslave the entire world, so nobody ever disarmed themselves for almost 3000 years so they could defend themselves.
I used to be a sword, then one day I got struck by lightning. Now I’m a plowshare.
There was many wars. Then came WW2. There was many wars afterwards too.
