Are you a talented, educated, and skilled writer or editor with a passion for Biblical and Christian studies? We’re excited to announce an opportunity to contribute to bartehrman.com, Bart’s other prominent website with thousands of readers. We’re ramping up our content production and need your expertise!

Bartehrman.com serves as Bart’s professional website, offering online courses, books, and the possibility to hire Bart for speaking engagements. In order to drive traffic from Google search, the website also features a blog component where we regularly post articles. Instead of Bart himself, we enlist the expertise of capable and insightful authors like Keith Long.

Here’s an example of an article authored by Keith Long:

Qualifications Needed:

As we explore a wide range of topics related to the New Testament and early Christianity, we’re looking for a writer to take the reins and bring fresh perspectives. You don’t necessarily need a PhD, but some formal education in Biblical or Christian studies is desired. If you have writing experience, whether through book/ebook publications, magazine or website contributions, or even a personal blog, we’d love to see your samples!

Even if you haven’t published anything yet, but possess formal education in the field and a genuine love for the subject matter, feel free to submit writing samples for consideration. We value enthusiasm, knowledge, and a dedication to quality content.

We are also looking for editors to collaborate with our writers and ensure the final output meets our standards.  An editor’s job is to proofread, refine and enhance the article, and make suggestions to the write to improve on the article.  For example, you might suggest adding context, or perhaps a personal anecdote, or ensuring citations have been properly added.

What’s in it for you?

For writers and editors alike, this is a paid gig, allowing you to showcase your skills, contribute to an established platform, and expand your portfolio.

Articles written for bartehrman.com have a higher chance of attracting readers compared to typical professional websites or blogs. The site is recognized as an authority in the field, and its high-ranking positions on Google search results demonstrate its trustworthiness. Here’s an example showing our #1 ranking on Google for “Who wrote the New Testament?”

Regarding compensation, we anticipate paying writers between $100 to $200 per article (1,000 to 1,500 words) and to editors, $50 to $75 per article based on experience.
