Ever notice that scientific discussions of the prospect of alien life tend to be led by astrophysicists & astronomers? We should pay more attention to the biologists who are far less sanguine about the prospect. They point out that homo sapiens and our hominin relations appeared only after billions of years of unguided, contingent evolution that included five mass extinctions, the last caused by an asteroid impact, the celestial equivalent of a traffic accident, clearing out an ecosystem that allowed our ancestors to thrive.
There was nothing inevitable about us. There is nothing inevitable about aliens. If the human race ever truly internalizes the precariousness of our position perhaps we will finally adjust our priorities.

I’m willing to listen to a scientifically smart kid who know much more about CERN than I do. I want to know how he is recognized as scientifically smart.

What you can find a video posted by Stephen as Hilarious but you cannot stand to watch a very smart child, Max Loughan? That kid, knows more than us. He knows more than you about CERN. I applaud that kid for being so smart, leading us to think and talk about CERN. Maybe something CERN does helps us understand CREATION–the God Particle.

Isn’t the utter astonishment at being alive at this moment in this place the source of most of our religion and art and philosophy?
Much of this discussion about alien life is a matter of perspective. Let’s say for argument’s sake that there is an average of one sentient, technological species per galaxy. There are trillions of galaxies! You could hardly claim that intelligent life was rare. Yet what are the chances that we will ever be able to communicate in any way with another galaxy? Even if we aren’t alone, we are alone.

That’s what I did. You want to set the example by suggesting Star Talk as a Rule-approved channel.
I told you the video about the Wow signal was something I would consider.
My conclusion after watching the relevant minutes, is that it was NOT impressive.
Second, the removed video about the smart kid.
CERN looks at reality of more than space-time reality. In space-time reality of the solar systems, galaxies, the universe, there are other advanced civilizations. Quantum science shows there are connections from our solar system to points far away from our solar system, HENCE, what happens here can affect points far away from her our solar system. THEREFORE, interstellar probes can be sent to check what we are doing and let us know the far away consequences.
And that is the merit of my position.
