20 To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though I myself am not under the law) so that I might win those under the law. 21 To those outside the law I became as one outside the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law) so that I might win those outside the law.
since “christs law” is law of freedom from jewish law, then was paul eating same food as the gentiles when he was trying to win them over to his gospel?

Maybe not. It has been argued that Paul became a “lawbreaker” (by the standard of some stricter pharisaical laws) for the sake of open table fellowship; however, this did not mean he ate everything on the menu. He may have had some standards that were, to our way of thinking, cultic–like not eating “blood”, and not eating meat that was specifically identified as being for the purpose of worshiping an idol, and not eating/getting drunk, in a manner suggestive of immoral sexual intent (Acts 15).
