Steefen: Paul’s Romans 1: 4 is a belligerent statement advancing his Christology against a material fact of the biography of Jesus Christ.
Robert:
So now you think that Paul knew the biography of Jesus Christ?
Earlier you said: “Then, hardly was there a historical Jesus or an Oral Tradition before Paul.”

I am exploring a response for those that think there was a Jesus of the late 20s / early 30s.

I have a question that I’d like to hear your response, Robert.
In this poem, is there any possibility that it’s when Jesus was resurrected/exalted that he was given the name Jesus…meaning he possibly wasn’t named that before? For some reason, whenever I read the poem, it always sounds like this is the point when he was given this name and exalted. It’s quite possible the Greek isn’t as murky sounding about it…and I don’t know Greek at all! Thanks.
