1 Genesis Ch 8, v4 The Ark rested on the mountains PLURAL of Ararat
Interesting.
2 Ararat came after the flood ? ? ?
Interesting
= = = =
Somewhat of a misunderstanding when people say the ark stopped on Mt. Ararat.
Interesting.
Archaeology or AI said the Sumer floods were not so great that the arks of the Sumer accounts would go from the city to Ararat [or Lake Van]–the ark would not have floated that far away and that high up.
Interesting.

This was the ad that met me when I visited Noah’s Ark Scans.
And if one wants, you might want to purchase some ** you do not have permission to see this link **
It’s also good to know a little bit about the ** you do not have permission to see this link **

The Ron Wyatt-promoted item isn’t Noah’s ark.
A much better candidate is in:
Henri Nissen, _Noah’s Ark: Ancient Accounts and New Discoveries_ (2012), 330pp., on 136
Despite the many investigations, it remains, however, a big mystery what the curious boat-shaped object in Durupinar actually is.

Did a catastrophic flood bring about “the collapse of the EB III urban culture”?
Amihai Mazar, _Archaeology of the Land of the Bible, Volume I: 10,000-586 B.C.E._ (1992)
** you do not have permission to see this link **
Page 151 — For about three hundred years following the collapse of the EB III urban culture, Palestine was sparsely populated, mainly by pastoralists and village dwellers.
This period of decline parallels the First Intermediate Period in Egypt (Dynasties VII—XI), during which there was a decentralization of power and a break in the traditional connections between Egypt and Asia, particularly those with Byblos.
The end of Palestine’s period of decline also has a parallel in Egyptian history:
the revival of urbanization in Palestine at the beginning of the Middle Bronze Age II corresponds with the rise of the Middle Kingdom in Egypt, ca. 2000 B.C.E.
Mesopotamia also suffered from invasions and instability, though only for a relatively short duration (ca. 2230-2130 B.C.E.).

This stuff is interesting, but my faith and beliefs don’t depend on whether the story of Noah’s Ark is real.
Same with the story of Jonah and the big fish.
If these are folk stories with a lesson or some teaching inside them, I’m okay with that.
Everything doesn’t have to be historically and physically verifiable for it to have some kind of value.
It is interesting, however.

I’m seriously thinking of creating a website: The Unreal Noah’s Ark.
Anyone have any merchandising ideas?
Well at the very least you’d need a little model with an elephant or a giraffe sticking its head out the window.
The search for Noah’s Ark fascinates me. I’ve lost track of how many times it’s been found. Maybe publish a map with all the spots marked where people have claimed to have found it.
Sorry, all I seem to do is recommend books but the absolute best work on this subject I’ve ever read is ** you do not have permission to see this link ** by the wonderful Irving Finkel who delights in his job as Assistant Keeper of ancient Mesopotamian script, languages, and cultures at the British Museum. An enthusiastic communicator, all his books are enjoyable.

All possible ideas that will result in me harvesting a handsome profit are appreciated.
I’m not sure how much sincerity is involved in these enterprises and how much is the realization by fraudsters that the gullible will hand over their money gladly.
Recommending books is one thing of the many things you do that I appreciate.

Maybe a model (or a tee-shirt or a poster) of the Ark with a T-Rex sticking its head out the window (or the porthole, rather.) Perhaps a human in the T-Rex’s jaws?
What has always struck me as completely absurd about Noah’s Ark is how it has been seized upon as a children’s story. How many times have you seen a cute drawing of the boat and all the animals? What are they thinking? God is drowning most of the human race, including children! It’s a slaughter. But cute I guess.

I completely agree with Stephen about Dr. Irving Finkel. You can also watch his great youtube presentations. I am especially liking one called something like “The Oldest Map of the World in the World” which is a clay tablet of the then known world and shows the mountain where the ARK would have landed.
Separately long ago I wondered into a cemetery near where I live which had a very small lake in the middle. They had placed statuary around the lake so that it looked as if Noah’s ark had just landed and some of the animals in pairs were just coming out and going off in different directions. It was corny but the more I looked at it the more charmed I was, especially the detailing and artful placement of the animals leaving.
Years later I went back and people had put animals of every kind size and shape all over the place so there were apes larger than elephants and of course dinosaurs. All pretense of charm and good sense was gone.

Steefen, should I add any more of Laura’s beliefs mentioned below to our list of your controversial beliefs?Lauren Elena Witzke is an American far-right[1] political activist known for her anti-LGBTQ, anti-Zionist, white nationalist, and antisemitic views as well as her promotion of QAnon. … Witzke has said that COVID-19 is “satanic” and that COVID-19 vaccine is a “satanic plot” to cause “mass death.” … Witzke has described herself as a “flat Earther.” … Witzke has compared pharmaceuticals to “a form of witchcraft” and said that God had to flood the earth because Nephilim and fallen angels were providing pharmaceuticals to humanity. … Witzke has voiced support for the far-right conspiracy theory QAnon, which centers on claims that a cabal of Satanic, cannibalistic sexual abusers of children operating a global child sex trafficking ring conspired against U.S. President Donald Trump during his term in office. During Hurricane Ian, Witzke suggested that “elites” may have created the devastating hurricane as a “deep state” attempt to punish Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and particularly conservative areas of the state. On the conservative “Shots Fired” streaming broadcast, Witzke claimed that she has “no doubt” that the technology exists to control weather catastrophes. … Witzke believes that the 9/11 attacks were committed by Israel.

This researcher got a permit from Turkish authorities. She’s over there doing what’s in the report. It is about the Bible. She has expensive equipment and people to operate that equipment.
When what she’s doing concludes, it will bring scientific information to the accounts of Sumer and the biblical account.
