So we have El and Elyon vs the condensing of the Canaanite pantheon during the Assyrian period into a monotheistic Yahweh but somehow north of Judea where people were not taken into captivity and released by Cyrus and Yahwists claimed Yahweh made Cyrus do this, the Galileans did not buy into that.
I don’t think there is any real evidence that Jesus was anything other than a Torah observant Jew. But Second Temple Judaism was pretty funky. Consequently I suspect that if we knew a lot more about the context and milieu in which Jesus arrived we would find his views much less distinctive. I think in such a context even Paul would turn out to be less of an outrider.
